The Energy that comes into our earth form the sunlight is called solar energy. Solar energy is generated when this energy is collected and converted into usable electricity.
Solar energy working procedure are divided into two broad categories depending on the way that they capture and convert sunlight into usable energy.
1.Passive solar Energy collection technique
2.Active solar Energy collection technique
A passive solar technology features are applied into the architecture of a building & adjusted to fit the particular climate these methods can produce well lighted spaces that stay at comfortable temperatures reducing the need for power consuming artificial lighting and heating and cooling mechanisms.
Active solar energy is more technology oriented system to produced solar energy.Generally these methods used photovoltaic cells that directly convert sunlight to electricity,which can then be used easily for almost any purpose.
Another technique used in active solar energy is solar thermal energy collection and concentration,
which is the generation of heat energy by concentrating sunlight. Heat is also more readily usable because
it can be used to generate steam/convection currents in air to turn turbines that generate electricity.
The Basic Solar energy works systems are often referred to as photovoltaic systems & normally consist of Four main components by which Solar Energy Works flow are done.
1. Solar panels,
2. An inverter
3. A metering system.
Electrical wiring, protection devices & switches, monitoring systems & mounting frames for the solar panels are included into other system components.
Most of the solar panel is consist of a collection of solar cells made of thin wafers of silicon.When the sun light falls on the cells then an electric current is produced into the solar panel.Most of the solar power systems used PV or photovoltaic modules or panels installed on a rooftop to create solar energy from sunlight.All of the photovoltaic solar panel is placed in north-facing roof space to mount the modules for a 1.5kW solar system.A good designer can easily create a special mounting frame for the photovoltaic panel or modules. If the roof’s slope is not at the right pitch and Cloud cover & shading can dramatically reduce the output of a solar power system.
The second most important element related to solar energy is an inverter. An inverter is an electrical device which converts the direct current (DC) generated by the solar panels into the alternating current (AC) and the produced electricity conventionally used in the field of businesses and Homes. Especially those homes where the electricity is not available. The inverter must be placed inside your home where it well ventilated and protected from the harms elements.
A 12 volt battery is used to store the solar energy produced by solar panel which placed in the rooftop and then an inverter convert the dc current form the 12 volt battery to ac or alternative current to supply electricity in home or business flied.
An Inverter meter is connected to solar power system to the main electricity network. Metering system are divided into two types one is GROSS metering system other is NET metering system. Both system are connected to the solar panel grid. Both Metering System are measure how much solar energy is produced per minute/per hour /per day and how much solar energy is used and how much are stored. The entire amount you can see into the meter display.
